DESCRIPTION: Scout is a 7-year-old tortoiseshell shorthair cat. She has been with us for six and a half years, and she has lived indoors in that entire time. She is a personable, people-oriented cat who loves snuggling on laps and playing with her toys.
HEALTH/GROOMING: Scout is a fastidious cat who keeps herself very clean, and because of her high-quality diet, we often get comments from visitors that "her coat is the softest" they've ever felt. She has her claws trimmed regularly and is brushed often to cut down on shedding. She is a spayed female who is kept as an indoor-only cat for her own safety and health and for the safety and health of local wildlife.
ACTIVITIES: Scout loves "clicker-training" as much as the dogs do, and people are always delighted to see her show off her tricks of "sit" and "here" and "jump." We also keep her occupied with toys and scratching posts. She has a cat tree that is her favorite perch, and you can often find her playing on it. Because she is indoor-only, she will never be a nuisance to neighbors. Most often, however, you can find her snuggled up on a lap or attempting to convince the dogs to give up their beds.
