DESCRIPTION: Roscoe is a 9-year-old coonhound mix. Roscoe has been with us for 6 years, and he has completed multiple classes at Gentle Touch Pet Training, where Jen is an assistant trainer. He has participated in agility, freestyle, and - most recently - K9 nosework. He recently earned his NW1 title at a Nosework trial. Roscoe is fully housebroken, crate-trained, and accustomed to indoor life.

HEALTH/GROOMING: Roscoe is the ultimate "wash & go" dog. Because he eats a high-quality diet, his coat is healthy and shiny and does not give off the oily "dog feel" that many people associate with petting a dog. He is bathed at home and is regularly brushed to cut down on shedding. He is a neutered male who receives regular wellness checks to ensure he is healthy and maintains immunity to disease.

ACTIVITIES: Roscoe is a happy-go-lucky dog, and his favorite part of a walk is all the attention he receives from people wanting to know more about him and give him some patting. We take him for walks in the neighborhood and on dog-friendly trails, and we keep up with his training for K9 Nosework. Although he loves adventures in the form of walks and training, he is content to sleep the day away while we are at work. We also encourage toy-drive, which provides Roscoe with an outlet for natural dog behaviors and keeps him from developing nuisance behaviors.
